Concrete Contractor in Fargo, ND
Flatwork that's prepped right underneath — because concrete is only as good as the base it sits on.
What we handle
Cracked, heaved, settling concrete almost always traces back to one thing: poor prep. As an excavation contractor first, OARA gets the part most people never see exactly right — the sub-base, compaction and drainage under your slab — so your driveway, sidewalk or patio stays flat and solid through our freeze-thaw winters.
We handle new concrete flatwork along with full removal and replacement of failing slabs. From a driveway extension to a backyard patio, you get clean lines, proper slope for drainage, and a finished surface that holds up.

The OARA difference
Excavation-grade prep
Properly excavated, graded and compacted base so your slab won't heave or settle.
Drainage built in
Correct slope so water runs off your concrete instead of pooling or freezing on it.
Clean removal & haul-off
Old, broken concrete demoed and hauled away so the new pour starts on solid ground.
Straight lines, solid edges
Tidy forming and finishing for a result that looks as good as it performs.
How the job goes
A clear, repeatable process so you always know what's happening and what's next.
Layout & estimate
We measure the area, talk through slope and finish, and give you a clear written quote.
Demo & excavate
We remove any old concrete, excavate to depth and build a compacted, well-draining base.
Form & pour
We form clean lines, set proper slope, and pour and finish the flatwork.
Cure & clean up
We finish the edges, clean the site, and walk you through caring for the new concrete.
Concrete Services FAQs
Do you do new concrete or just removal?
Both. We pour new driveways, sidewalks, patios and extensions, and we also remove and replace existing concrete that's cracked, heaved or settling.
Why does concrete crack and heave here?
Our freeze-thaw cycles and expansive clay soils are brutal on poorly prepped slabs. The fix is in the base — proper excavation, compaction and drainage — which is exactly where our excavation background pays off.
Can you extend my existing driveway?
Yes, driveway extensions are a common request. We match the layout and slope so the addition ties in cleanly and drains correctly.
How long before I can use it?
Concrete needs time to cure. We'll give you specific guidance for foot traffic and vehicle traffic based on your pour and the weather at the time.
